The following cases have been heard in the Tenth Judicial District Court.

A Fallon man charged with stabbing another man on Sept. 9 has pleaded not guilty to five counts associated with the incident.

Chaz Tyler Ethridge appeared in district court Tuesday. According to court documents, Ethridge allegedly stabbed Michael Nikonowicz three times in the head with a sharp instrument and multiple times to the body with the intent to kill.

The five counts include battery with intent to kill with use of a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm to victim, possession of a controlled substance (Alprazloam), unlawful use or being under the influence of a controlled substance and unlawful use or being under the influence of controlled substance (Methamphetamine).

Trial is set for May.

A status heading was held for Roger Orlin Evans, who was convicted for exploitation of an elderly person for more than $5,000.

Sentencing is set for November.

A competency hearing was held for Joseph Anthony Baltazar. The court is waiting for a competency testing evaluation. A review on the status has been set for late November.

According to court documents, Baltazar is charged with battery by a prisoner in lawful custody or confinement.

A competency hearing was held for Rebecca Lynn Bradin-Vanmeter. The court is waiting for a competency testing evaluation.

According to court documents, she is charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth), unlawful use or being under the influence of a controlled substance, violation of temporary court order restricting stalking or harassment, two counts of battery on an officer and possession or use of drug paraphernalia.

Denny T. Benka pleaded not guilty to failure to stop on signal for a peace officer. A two-day trial has been set for mid-November.

Stacy Amber Garner had her sentence suspended and was placed on three years probation for unlawful possession of a controlled substance (meth). She had faced one to four years in prison and a fine not to exceed $5,000.

According to court documents she is eligible for the Drug Diversion program.

Phillip Webber had his sentence suspended and was placed on three years probation for possessing of a controlled substance. According to Webber’s attorney, he has begun an evaluation.

Tarah Lynn Kennedy received a suspended sentence and was placed on probation for five years for battery on a law enforcement officer.

Matt Brian Biddinger was placed on five years probation for driving under the influence, third offense. He will attend a DUI diversion program.

Ignacio Garcia Garcia-Domingo pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit possession or sale of document or personal identifying information to establish false status or identify.

According to court documents, he conspired with another individual to possess a U.S. permanent resident ID card and fraudulent Social Security card for the purpose of stabling a false status.

Judge Tom Stockard fined him $1,000 and no jail time.

Christopher Lee Jenkins pleaded guilty to one count to attempt to commit burglary. According to court documents, Jenkins entered a food and liquor store with the intent to commit petit larceny.

He faces one to five years in prison and a fine not to exceed $10,000. Sentencing is set for January.

Dillon Ron Marsh pleaded guilty to one charge of abuse, neglect or endangerment of a child not causing substantial bodily or mental harm.

According to court documents, Marsh placed a child in his car, drove the car while intoxicated and struck a telephone pole and traveled through a fence, therefore placing the minor child in a situation in which they could suffer physical pain.

He faces a sentence of 364 days in the Churchill County Jail and a fine not to exceed $2,000.

His attorney asked for a psychological evaluation.

Stockard also released him to Court Services.

Arraignment for Chelsea Lynn Smitten has been delayed. She has been charged with the unlawful taking of a vehicle.

Court documents state she drove and possessed a Honda Ruckus scooter belonging to another person.
