The longest running solo play in Broadway history is coming to Carson City at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, in the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center.
“Defending the Cavemen,” Rob Becker’s Broadway comedy about the sexes, is being presented by the Friends of the Carson City Library.
The play focuses on the ways men and women relate to each other. The author wrote it over a three-year period in which he made an informal study of anthropology, prehistory, psychology, sociology and mythology.
Tickets for $40 per person are available at Browsers Corner Book Store, across the street from the Carson City Library, or at friendscclibrary.org, or by calling 775-885-9807.

The Friends of the Carson City Library is also hosting its Movie Masquerade, a celebration of costuming and films, on Oct. 24. The event benefits the third annual International Film Weekend held in February in Carson City.
