Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, will visit Carson City Thursday morning, the day following the second Republican presidential debates.
“Here is your chance to meet the other doctor in the race,” said organizers in announcing the visit — a reference to Ben Carson who is polling second only to Donald Trump in the 16-candidate field.
The event will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday at the Gold Dust West casino on U.S. 50 East.
Paul will visit four different cities in the tour following the CNN debates.
He has based his campaign on the importance of protecting “the entire Bill of Rights and expanding the Republican party by being boldly for conservative ideals that limit the powers of the Washington Machine.”
He has called for lower taxes through a “fair and flat tax.”
