A fifth generation Northern California native is showing a body of work inspired by the Sierra Nevada at Western Nevada College’s main gallery in Carson City.
“Lines and Fields: Abstract Narrative Paintings” by Liz Penniman is a collection of oil on canvas pieces created in her Truckee art studio over the past two years.
Penniman has shown in galleries in New York, London, San Francisco, Houston, and throughout Texas and California. The exhibit runs Oct. 5 through Nov. 7 in the Bristlecone Building, 2201 W. College Parkway.
The gallery is open during school hours Monday through Saturday. The opening reception will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6.
