A Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic charges after deputies responded to reports of gunfire early Wednesday morning.
Daniel Vanhooser, 57, of Carson City, was arrested at 4 a.m., after Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a domestic dispute with gunfire near the 3400 block of Tourmaline Way.
When deputies arrived on scene they heard additional gunfire coming from inside the residence. Soon after, Vanhooser exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
The investigation showed Vanhooser fired numerous rounds inside the residence, though no parties involved sustained injuries from the gunfire. Minor injuries were reported, unrelated to the firearm.
Vanhooser was taken to the Douglas County jail on suspicion of domestic battery and discharging a firearm in a dwelling. Bail was set at $28,006.
