The Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation reports weekly wages in Nevada reached an average of $860 during the third quarter of 2015.

That’s a $209 increase from a year earlier, a 2.6 percent gain and the highest third quarter number on record, according to department Economist Bill Anderson.

He said wages have actually been trending up — albeit slowly — since 2011.

He said wage growth has been keeping up with inflation since, for the first three quarters of 2015, consumer prices were flat compared with 2014. That, he said, suggests wages have grown in real terms.
