The following information applies to the period of May 2-8.
Work will continue on the Downtown Corridor improvement project on Carson Street. For details regarding traffic impacts from the Downtown Carson Street project, refer to the Cone Zone in the Nevada Appeal, or go to www.carsonproud.com. These sources are updated weekly throughout the duration of the project.
Lane closures with flagger controlled traffic are planned from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the following locations:
Center Drive near the Topsy Lane and Center Drive intersection on weekdays
Jefferson Drive and Madison Court on weekdays
Fleischmann Way between Division and Mountain streets on weekdays
Curry Street between Washoe Drive and Koontz Lane on Monday
Portions of Monte Rosa, Stanton, Ladera, Siskiyou, Florentine and Shriver drives, near Empire Elementary School, Monday through Thursday
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to utility/road work. Drivers are asked to follow detours:
Division Street between Fleischmann Way and Long Street from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday
Topsy Lane between Center Drive and U.S. 395 for all hours Monday through Sunday; local traffic only
Race Track Road between Bigelow Drive and Schulz Way for all hours Monday through Sunday; local traffic only
Bigelow Drive south of Race Track Drive for all hours Monday through Sunday; local traffic only
U.S. 395, north of Stephanie Lane at Cradlebaugh Bridge, will be reduced to one lane in each direction at certain times. No traffic controls are scheduled for northbound traffic between 7 and 10 a.m. or for southbound traffic between 2 and 5 p.m. until May 13.
Northbound U.S. 395 between Clear Creek and Snyder avenues will be reduced from three to two lanes until May 13.
Periodic, nighttime, lane and ramp closures will take place on southbound I-580 and alternate U.S. 395 in southern Washoe Valley throughout the summer, including northbound and southbound ramp closures for Bellevue Bridge and southbound ramp closures south of Eastlake Boulevard.
