The Nevada Attorney General’s Office of Military Legal Assistance will be hosting a workshop to help Nevada veterans with legal documentation drafts on Saturday.
The free event is open to all Nevada veterans and will be able to discuss and help draft wills and powers of attorney as well as discuss legal issues relative to family law, bankruptcy, consumer issues, landlord/tenant and access/denial to public benefits. The Nevada Department of Veteran Services officers also will be present to answer and address benefit needs.
The event is held by the @EASE program with the Attorney General’s Office, which is an attorney general-led, public-private partnership that offers the military community access to pro bono civil legal services.
The workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office. There also will be workshops at least once a month throughout the state. For more information email hcooney@ag.nv.gov or visit nvagomla.nv.gov.
