The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
THURSDAY
At 6:33 p.m., a 54-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property, no valid driver’s license, no proof of insurance and conspiracy to commit vehicle theft after deputies responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle near the Carson Street Nugget.
At 10:15 p.m., Arturo Ponce, 51, of San Jose, Calif., was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI, felony assault with a deadly weapon, felony ex-felon in possession of a firearm, driver’s license suspended, open container and suspended registration after deputies responded to reports of a man with a gun near the William Street Remedy’s Bar. Deputies initiated a high risk traffic stop near the 1100 block of William Street after the suspect fled the scene. Bail was set at $60,650.
At 11:20 p.m., a 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of suspended license and failure to appear traffic after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 3300 block of Champion Street. Bail was set at $1,447.
FRIDAY
At 12:52 p.m., a 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of violation of bail conditions after deputies conducted a consensual stop near the Carson Street Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar. Bail was set at $6,000.
At 1:33 a.m., Drew Owen-Self, 30, of Dayton was arrested on suspicion of felony parole and probation hold and felony possession of a controlled substance after deputies responded to reports of a dispute. Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the area near Koontz Lane and Ponderosa Drive. At the same incident Lance Spurlock, 40, of Dayton, was arrested on suspicion of felony convicted person with a stun gun and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail for Owen-Self was set at $2,500 and bail for Spurlock was set at $11,000.
The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
