The following cases were heard in the Tenth Judicial District Court before Judge Thomas Stockard.

Shawn Michael Crystal pleaded guilty to grand larceny of a motor vehicle less than $3,500, a Category C Felony. On or about Nov. 20, 2015, Crystal took a trailer not belonging to him in Churchill County before he was caught and detained by the police. Crystal faces one to five years in the Nevada State Prison and a fine up to $10,000. Sentencing is set for November.

Steven Kord Wolfson pleaded guilty to offer, attempt or commissioner of an unauthorized act relating to a controlled substance, a Category B Felony. On or about June 8, Wolfson attempted to sell methamphetamine to a confidential informant on West Williams Avenue. Wolfson faces one to six years in the Nevada State Prison and a fine up to $20,000.

Sentencing is set for November.

Misty Lee Palmer pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a Category E Felony. Palmer faces one to four years in the Nevada State Prison and a fine up to $5,000. Palmer’s proceedings were suspended for probation not to exceed three years with the conditions that she enter and complete the Western Regional Drug Court, have no use or possession of drugs or alcohol and that she report to her probationary officer by 2 p.m. that same day.

Joshua William Hughes’ case was continued to Sept. 20 and he was remanded into custody. Bail is set at $75,000.

Seth William Ferguson pleaded guilty to unlawful taking of a vehicle valued less than $3,500, a Gross Misdemeanor. Ferguson faces 364 days in the Churchill County Jail and a fine up to $2,000. Sentencing is set for Tuesday.

Heather L. Walter pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a Category E Felony. Walter faces one to four years in the Nevada State Prison and a fine up to $2,000. Walter was placed on probation not to exceed three years with the conditions that she complete the Western Regional Drug Court, have no use or possession of drugs or alcohol, and remain in custody until the next drug court meeting.

Gregory Albert Baltazar pleaded guilty to three counts of offer, attempt or commission of an unauthorized act relating to a controlled or counterfeit substance, three Category B Felonies. Baltazar faces, for each count, one to six years in the Nevada State Prison and a fin up to $20,000. Sentencing is set for November.

O’Ryan Yazzie pleaded not guilty to one count of failing to register as a convicted sex offender, a Category D Felony. Yazzie faces one to four years in the Nevada State Prison and a fine up to $4,000. Trial is set for October.

Luke Aron Wind was sentenced to 12-34 months in the Nevada State Prison for committing grand larceny of a vehicle worth less than $3,500, a Category D Felony. Wind was remanded to the sheriff’s custody and given credit for 96 days time served.

Rachel Lynn Johnson was sentenced to two prison terms, 17-44 months in the Nevada State Prison for possession of a controlled substance, a Category E Felony, and 24-68 months in the Nevada State Prison for offer, attempt or commission of unauthorized act relating to a controlled substance, a Category B Felony. Johnson was remanded to the sheriff’s custody and given credit for 146 days time served.

Dillon Ron Marsh was found in violation of probation for consuming alcohol and failing to abide by the Salvation Army program’s conditions. Marsh’s probation was revoked and he was remanded into the sheriff’s custody to serve out his sentence with credit for 201 days time served.
