Embracing Change and Aging with Geri Meyer, a retired therapist, will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 3 and 17. Meyer leads compassionate discussions that explore questions such as: How do you feel about aging? How do you wish to make the most of your remaining years? The group meets the first and third Saturdays of the month at 10 a.m.
Joe Peel will share his story of being married to the woman the song “Unforgettable,” made famous by Nat King Cole, was written about. Peel’s wife kept company with folks whose names you’ll likely recognize. His presentation will be at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 11.
An entertaining and informative bus tour of Virginia City is planned at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 13. Learn how the Comstock lodge got its name and where Sam Clemens picked up a pen to become Mark Twain. Bus seating is limited. Call 775-841-4111.
Western music by CW, also known as Chris Bayer, will be during the facility’s Fall Festival at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 25.
