Kathy died at her home in Minden on November 26, 2016.

Katherine Eileen Kopitch was born on June 11, 1950 in Hollywood, California to Woody and Audrey Belsheim. She grew up in the Los Angeles area, and graduated fromUlysses S.Grant High School in 1968.

Kathy married the late Larry Faber in August 1972, and moved to Orange, California. They were divorced in 1982. Kathy married George Kopitch on May 12, 1990.

Kathy’s professional career started in the late 70’s when she was hired to work as an admitting clerk in the Emergency room at the Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, California. Her love for working in an emergency room environment

was born. Within a short time she became the manager of the clerical personnel, and continued to work there for many more years. The newly built Irvine Medical Center emergency room was her next stop.

In 2003, Kathy and her husband, moved to Minden, Nevada, where she attempted to retire. One year passed before Kathy felt the call of the wild, and returned to work. The Emergency room at Carson Valley Medical Center welcomed

her aboard, where she worked with wonderful people for 12 more years.

Kathy was a kind, caring, and loving person. She acknowledged birthdays and special events of all her friends and family, by sending cards and her love.

Kathy had no children of her own, but was endeared by her two stepchildren, Richard and Deborah, who called her mom since their teenage years.

Kathy loved her family, friends, and all of God’s creatures, many of which lived in the cow pasture behind her home. Kathy and her 2 puppies Hank and Wylie, enjoyed spending time together watching the goings on in that cow pasture.

Kathy had a talent for organizing and decorating. She loved to organize special events for her friends and family, and to decorate her home and place of work for the holidays.

She is survived by her husband George Kopitch; step-daughter Deborah Rambaud; step-son Richard Kopitch; grandkids Amelia, Wyatt, and Dillon; brothers Randy Belsheim, David Belsheim and Erik Belsheim; step-sister Micky Belsheim; niece Shannon Belsheim; nephews Keith Belsheim, Coby Kerr, Tai Kerr, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins-in-law.
