Edward Joseph Morawski

Jan. 21, 1924 – December 4, 2016

Sadly we announce the death of Edward Joseph Morawski, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, and World War II Veteran. Papa Ed passed away peacefully after a long arduous struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Ed was born and raised in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, but ventured west after WWII to live in Orange County, CA then Carson City, NV, where he and his wife, Theresa, have lived for the past 17 years.

He loved the snow and the mountains and enjoyed skiing, ice skating, and stream fishing for many years. He belonged to the generation of men who valued quality and honored great craftsmanship by working with his hands to create wonderful and purposeful gadgets and tools with grace, patience and care. Ed was strong and smart and dedicated. He was also gentle and slow to anger. Never did an unkind word come out of his mouth. He had a heart of gold.

Ed is survived by his wife, Theresa and her family; his son, Mike and his family; and his sisters, Monica and Lodi, and their families. We miss him terribly but know he is in Heaven now.
