A new craft mall featuring work by local artisans has opened on 50 Virginia St. across from the Churchill County Middle School.
The Fallon Crafters Cooperative displays a wide range of items ranging from jewelry to artwork for artists to showcase their creations
“So far we have 25 vendors in our co-op,” said Carole Leanza, who was part of a group that began putting plans together for the co-op in the summer before opening the craft mall during the first week of December.
“It’s something we toyed with for quite a while,” she added.
The hours for the co-op are Thursday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; during the week before Christmas, the co-op will be open Monday-Saturday, also from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Leanza said upcoming plans call for conducting craft classes for adults and hosting several craft fairs in 2017.
Prospective vendors may call Megan Amick at 775-223-2754.
