Man arrested on fourth DUI, says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

SUNDAY

At 1:33 a.m., a 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, open container, minor consuming alcohol and failure to maintain a lane after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Carson Street and Winnie Lane. Bail was set at $1,290.

At 8:17 a.m., a 25-year-old Reno man was arrested on suspicion of suspended registration and failure to appear warrant after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 1100 block of Fairview Drive. Bail was set at $428.

At 9:40 a.m., a 48-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 300 block of Rhodes Street. Bail was set at $500.

At 9:59 a.m., a 58-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of a domestic battery warrant after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 800 block of Chernus Drive. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 11:06 a.m., Heather Givant, 26, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony parole and probation violation after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject at the Caroline Street Silver Queen Motel. No bail was set.

At 12:31 p.m., a 53-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the Carson Street Nugget Casino. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 7:01 p.m., a 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery and failure to appear warrants after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 1600 block of Brown Street. Bail was set at $3,175.

At 11:19 p.m., a 46-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the Fairview Drive and 5th Street. Bail was set at $1,000.

MONDAY

At 8:02 a.m., a 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court, failure to appear and possession of a dangerous weapon after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Winnie Lane and Lone Mountain Drive. Bail was set at $5,000.

At 1:15 p.m., Paul Bekakis, 31, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony parole and probation violation after deputies responded to reports of a possible drug deal at the William Street Lucky Strike Casino. Bekakis was located at Roop and Adams streets. At the same incident, a 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation. No bail for Bekakis was set and bail for the man was set at $4,000.

At 4:26 p.m., Richard Chada, 66, of Dayton was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI-fourth offense and violation of bail after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 1600 block of Airport Road. Bail was set at $23,000.

TUESDAY

At 1:45 a.m., a 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear traffic after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 4600 block of S. Carson Street. Bail was set at $890.

At 2:30 a.m., a 26-year-old Dayton man was arrested on suspicion of violation of extended protection order after deputies responded to reports of a welfare check near the 1200 block of Woodside Drive. Bail was set at $3,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
