In the early evening of January 26th, 2016, Bob passed away in Carson City, Nevada. He was 70 years old. Bob was born in Redding, California on April 13th, 1945, to Robert Frank Reed, Sr. and Catherline Viola Wehrle. Bob graduated from South Lake Tahoe High school and worked as a logger with his father. Bob went to Sierra College in Rocklin California where he graduated with a Criminal Justice Degree. At the age of 21 Bob was hired by the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office where he worked until he transferred to the City of South Lake Tahoe Police Department where he spent 10 years. Even after retirement from law enforcement, Bob continued to help his fellow man. He worked at a treatment center for 10 years, saving countless people’s lives. And then came Sophie, his beloved service dog, who also helped and continues to help all that come in contact with her. Bob spent his life wrenching on cars, 4wheeling, going to classic car shows, going to the gym and helping those around him. Bob is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Sharron(Barker) Reed his daughters; Staci Wilde(Scott), Tracy Smith(Jerry), Kathy Westling(Mikol) and Susan Kuhl and two grandchildren; Kayla Cruse and Jessalyn San Gregorio several cousins and countless friends. He will be forever missed. Arrangements were in the care of Autumn Funerals & Cremations.
