Carson Incorporation Act. We have been furnished through the politeness of its author, a copy of “An Act to Incorporate the city of Carson and to provide for government thereof,” introduced into the Assembly by Dr. Munchkin. The bill is referred to the Ormsby County Delegation.

Nevada can justly claim more credit for its effective work against polygamy than any other state. Congressman Cassidy of this state made a splendid fight against the Mormons in Congress and dealt them blows they will soon not forget.

Dean Scrugham, of the engineering college of the University of Nevada, is endeavoring to establish a series of wireless telegraphy stations between the university and various high schools throughout the state. Letters have been sent to the science departments of a number of high schools in hopes they will cooperate with the station at the university.

With 55 attending, yesterday’s meeting of the Carson City Lions Club was termed one of the best and largest in recent years. Program chairman Ralph Gelvin showed films on the Fleet City Bluejacket-El Toro Marines football game as part of the entertainment bill for the day.

Parking isn’t always a snap, even when you’re the governor and have your own special space reserved at the Reno Municipal Airport. Democratic Gov. Grant Sawyer drove to the airport Monday for a flight to Las Vegas, but someone was already parked in his space. The car was registered to Republican Lt. Gov. Paul Laxalt, a candidate for governor.

Dayton residents along the Carson River have been evacuated, and Dayton ranchers busy moving cattle and sheep to higher ground as the storm caused the potential of the El Dorado Dam breaking raised alarm. If the dam breaks the potential of a wall of water 12 to 25 feet high would reach Dayton in minutes.
