Carson City Winter Wine, Spirits and All That Jazz, an evening of wine, beer and spirit tasting, is returning Saturday to raise money for the Brewery Art Center.

Organizers said the red carpet fundraiser features the best in art, music and entertainment the area has to offer.

“Last year’s event was called one of the best this town has seen in a decade, and believe it or not, this event will top last year’s,” said Gina Lopez Hill, the Brewery Arts Center’s executive director. “Wine and beer tasting, spirits, jazz bands, singers, dancers, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction, all to benefit a great cause. Guests should come red carpet ready, but perhaps with snow boots.”

The annual fundraiser will feature more than 25 wines, beers and spirits and live dance music by the Jeff Leep Orchestra.

There will be a Hollywood themed stage show using the talents of the Reno Dance Company and TMCC’s “Friends with Amazing Voices.”

Hors d’oeuvres by Simple Fair Catering will be on hand.

The event, from 7 to 10 p.m., takes place all over the Brewery Arts Center’s campus.

The event is a major fundraiser for the Brewery Arts Center, a nonprofit that promotes art, arts programming and cultural events for all ages through its facilities and resources to the community of Carson City and the surrounding area.

In addition to providing innovative arts programming for everyone — regardless of ability to pay — the BAC is home to the Nevada Artists Association gallery, an Artisan store where local artists can present and sell their work, High Sierra Swing Dance Club, King Street Recording Studios, Carson City Classic Cinema Clubs, Sierra Nevada Forums, Ash Canyon Poet Society, Bluegrass and Celtic Music Series, Wild Horse Children’s Theater, Proscenium Players, and the upcoming TEDx Carson City conference. Additionally, it provides art programming for five schools in the Carson City School District, as well as Arts in the Park, a free summer program that provides children with barrier-free art classes.

Tickets, which cost $45 per person for members or $50 per person for nonmembers, are available at Breweryarts.org, or by calling 775-883-1976.
