RE/MAX office welcomes agent

Matt Carter has joined the RE/MAX Realty Affiliates office in Gardnerville. A 10-year agent, Carter is licensed in both California and Nevada. He serves the Carson Valley, Carson City, and Reno areas as well as outlying areas of Mono, Lyon, and El Dorado and Alpine counties.

Over the past two years, Carter has closed nearly 150 transactions — including residential and income properties, as well as vacant land and commercial buildings — and expects to close more than $20 million in sales in 2015.

Carter earned his bachelor’s in business from Whittier College, where he participated on the baseball and football teams. He interned for Intuit and worked for a Fortune 500 company before diving in to real estate and making it a full-time career.

When he’s not handling real estate transactions, Carter is spending time with his wife, Gina, and his two children, Justus and Gemma. He’s also a volunteer coach for Douglas High School and Sierra Lutheran. He also volunteers at China Springs Youth Camp and the Aurora Pines Youth Facility. He and his family are involved with the Grace Community Church.
