Six filmmakers from Northern Nevada will premiere short films at 7 p.m. Friday in the Performance Hall of the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King St. The films were all shot on location in Carson City and surrounding areas, and all projects were directed or produced by Northern Nevada high school graduates, including Douglas High School 2014 graduate Austin Bachman, a current University of Nevada, Reno, student.

The shorts also showcase the contributions of various local actors, actresses, and crew members. The films feature all local actors, many of whom were cast through Reno’s Tru Talent Agency and Take 2 Performers’ Studio.

The screenings will be preceded by a red carpet at 6:30 p.m. The event will culminate in a question and answer session with the filmmakers and actors at 8:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to wear formal attire for the red carpet.

There is a $5 suggested donation at the door. All proceeds go to the cost of the venue and film festival submissions for the projects shown.
