Join Dayton State Park staff for a guided nature walk along the Carson River at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6.
The event includes a discussion about park wildlife; attendees are invited to look for signs indicating these animals have been nearby.
Organizers ask participants to wear warm clothing and good shoes for the half-mile walk along the river.
Meet at the group use pavilion at Dayton State Park, which is 12 miles east of Carson City on Highway 50.
The hike is free, but the park entrance fee is $7 per vehicle. Nevada residents receive a $2 discount. Cash and checks are accepted.
