Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Jan. 8. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Aloha Medicinals, Inc., 2300 Arrowhead Drive, scored 100 points.

Arby’s, 1122 S. Carson St., 100 points.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church, cafeteria, 1837 N. Mountain St., 100 points.

Bordewich Bray Elementary School, cafeteria, 110 S. Thompson St., 100 points.

Butler Meats, 1909 N. Carson St., 100 points.

Carson City School District Central Warehouse, West Telegraph and Richmond streets, 100 points.

Charley’s Grilled Subs, 1304 S. Stewart St., 100 points.

Costco Wholesale, bakery, 700 Old Clear Creek Road, 100 points.

Tito’s Restaurant, 444 E. William St., 98 points. Food items were not labeled. The ice cream cooler and ventilation grates needed to be cleaned.

El Paisano Taqueria, 3359 E. Highway 50, 97 points. The refrigerator was found at six degrees higher than the required temperature of 41 degrees. Grill tops, equipment, vents and floors needed to be cleaned.

JM Gasoline, 1321 N. Carson St., 96 points. All employees were not using proper cleaning and sanitizing methods.

San Marcos Grill, 260 E. Winnie Lane, 95 points. Cutting boards needed to be repaired or replaced. Paper towels were missing at handwashing stations.

Walmart, McDonald’s, 3770 Highway 395, 84 points. An employee’s hair was unrestrained, corrected on site. The three-compartment sink was not properly set up. The temperature of water mixed with sanitizer was too high. The handle on the coffee grounds basket was held together by tape. The doors on the ice cream maker were broken. Thermometers were missing in several reach-in refrigerators. Chemical test strips to verify sanitizer levels were missing. A sanitizer bucket and spray bottles were missing. Soda dispensing spigots, both ice machines and a hose that drains the soda dispenser needed to be cleaned. Grease deposits were found inside cabinets. The floor sink under the soda racks in the kitchen was dirty.
