SILVER SPRINGS — An 11-year-old girl and a woman were critically injured after a truck went rolling in a state park in Silver Springs.
Officials at Lahontan State Recreation Area that the accident happened just before 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
Park Supervisor Anthony Beauregard says rangers responded to Silver Springs Beach 3 and found a truck had rolled down hill.
The vehicle ended up running over a girl, who was in a tent, and then pinning a woman against a camper.
Beauregard says both were airlifted to a Reno hospital.
They were last listed in critical condition.
Beauregard says the truck either popped out a gear or the brake became loose.
No charges against the truck’s owner are currently pending.
