Back by popular demand, the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West will be bringing its full concert band to the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center at 7 p.m. Aug. 16.
This year, the performance will coincide with and be a part of the annual Carson City Jazz & Beyond Carson City Music Festival that begins on Aug. 5.
Comprised of 50 musicians, the ensemble is the largest performing within the USAF Band of the Golden West. It has performed for millions worldwide, thrilling audiences with its wide variety of music and engaging communities and building partnerships while telling the Air Force story, honoring military heritage, enhancing morale for uniformed service members, and recruiting the finest Americans to serve in the United States Air Force.
The Carson City Chamber of Commerce has been coordinating these events in conjunction with the Bob Boldrick Theater. The concert is free, and tickets are going to be available beginning Friday, July 15, at the Chamber of Commerce. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. No more than four tickets per household will be distributed. Only 800 tickets will be available.
The Chamber office is at 1900 S. Carson St. on the grounds of the Nevada State Railroad Museum. It’s open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
