Clinton Dexter Magner joined his Heavenly Father on July 13, 2016. Clint was born on December 1, 1931, in Seattle, to Harold and Nina Magner. He grew up in Seattle, the youngest of four boys. He left home at a young age, and working on ranches and on the rodeo circuit before joining the Navy. He served four years during the Korean War. After his discharge, he met the love of his life, Patricia Thompson. They married in 1955 and lived in California, Washington and Nevada and after retirement returned to Washington. Clint was a Jujitsu sensei, an avid reader and gardener, loved to camp and fish, and in later years made custom birdhouses for family and friends. Clint was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Clifford, William, and Wallace (Cork), and granddaughter April Magner. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pat of Everett, WA; daughter Laurie Neyens (Dave) of Arlington, WA and son Bruce Magner and his partner Janet of Carson City, NV; grandchildren DJ (Lindsey) Neyens and Jared Neyens, Lindsey (Bill) Coen, Danny Magner; great-grandchildren, Allanah, Liam, Olivia and Maddox, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
No services will be held, as per Clint’s request. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, in memory of April Magner.
