Longtime resident of the Carson City/Carson Valley area, Dorothy C. Hoid passed away on July 24, 2016.
She was born in Breckinridge, Texas, in 1923 to Herbert and Rose Beyer, and raised in Thurber.
Her family moved to Southern California in the 1930’s.
She and her husband, Ed Hoid, moved to Lake Tahoe in 1959, and then to the Carson Valley in 1972.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Ed” Hoid, her parents, Herbert and Rose Beyer, and her sister, Betty Lou Beyer.
Survivors include her children, Judy, Gary (Rosalyn), and Terry (Paula) Hoid, her brother, Ted (Heather) Beyer, 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
A private service for family will be held at 11:00a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2016 with interment at the Eastside Memorial Park Cemetery in Minden, Nevada.
