Information Technology Gateway Training (ITGT) is being offered at the Churchill County Library due to a gigabit broadband Internet provided by Churchill Communications and a Workforce Challenge Grant awarded to the library by the Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation, and Technology.

A partnership with Western Nevada College (WNC) and Churchill Economic Development Authority (CEDA) completes the package that makes this information technology technician training available.

Students can earn industry certifications in Microsoft and CompTIA, and CISCO Routing and Switching. A sequence of three Graphic Communications classes prepares students for web design. Classes are online with onsite instructional help. These credit-based courses apply toward WNC Certificates of Achievement and Applied Associate of Arts degrees.

Classes are block scheduled beginning Monday. Classes continue through the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters. The classroom is located at the Library Annex at 507 S. Maine St., rear entrance. Tuition reimbursement is available. Registration is open at www.wnc.edu/admissions/registration.
