Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Dayton woman arrested on suspicion of stealing a vehicle

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 10:21 a.m., Thomas Thornhill, 38, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony fugitive from justice after deputies responded to a warrant service near the 3200 block of Arrowhead Drive. Thornhill is suspected of being involved with a robbery/homicide in California. Bail was set at $1,050,000.

At 2:14 p.m., Cody Rogers-Shaw, 22, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of two counts of felony burglary, felony possession of a dangerous drug without prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of a controlled substance warrant and felony parole and probation priority 5 warrant after deputies conducted a search warrant near the 1600 block of Marian Avenue after they received a tip Rogers-Shaw was at the residence. Also at the incident, 49-year-old Leon Shaw and Shelsey Wiley, 22, were arrested on suspicion of felony harboring a fugitive. Bail for Rogers-Shaw was set at $53,500 and bail for Shaw and Wiley was set at $10,000.

At 6:18 p.m., a 40-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and obstructing after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject at the Woodside Drive Eagle Valley Market. Bail was set at $450.

At 10:50 p.m., a 48-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain a lane after deputies initiated a traffic stop near 8th and Stewart Streets. Bail was set at $1,040.

FRIDAY

At 12:22 a.m., Nichole Canda, 39, of Dayton, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property/ vehicle after deputies initiated a traffic stop at the Carson Street Casino Fandango. Bail was set at $25,000.

At 4:35 a.m., a 23-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of extended stalking order after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Roop Street and Winnie Lane. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 4:36 a.m., a 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of license suspended and suspended registration after deputies initiated a traffic stop near College Parkway and Emerson Drive. Bail was set at $550.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
