Man who showed knife sought in Topsy Lane Walmart theft

A shoplifter, who allegedly produced a knife after employees at the Topsy Lane Walmart tried to get him to stop, is being sought by Douglas County deputies.

The theft occurred 7:45 p.m. Feb. 19 when the man exited the doors without paying for merchandise. Employees yelled at him to stop, but he refused and showed the knife, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in a theft at the Walmart at 3770 Highway 395, Carson City, NV .

The man entered a waiting red and gold Subaru station wagon with unknown plates and left in an unknown direction.

A reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
