As part of her senior project at Carson High School, Erika Murray is hosting an open house art show from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom, 449 W. King St.
Murray said she has discovered a growing passion for graphic design and the creative opportunity that it provides, so she designed her project to revolve around digital art.
“I am always seeing artists create amazing posters for my favorite bands, which inspired me to do the same. My project focuses on 10 different bands and a song by each. My project has been made possible with guidance by my mentor Shannon Hataway of Tangerine Design & Web, and the print production of my posters by Data Graphics,” Murray said.
She plans to pursue her passion for graphic design at Truckee Meadows Community College in the fall. Admission to the exhibit is free. For more information, call 775-883-1976.
