The president of the Nevada Cattlemen’s Association and a board member for the Truckee Carson Irrigation District will be the keynote speaker on Wednesday at the monthly Churchill Economic Development Authority breakfast.
David Stix Jr. was born and raised on the family ranch in Fernley. The family operates a 1,200 head mother-cow operation at home as well as on five Bureau of Land Management permits. They also feed cattle at their 3,500 head feedlot in Fernley and currently manage a 5,000 head commercial feedlot in Lovelock.
