Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested following low speed chase

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

TUESDAY

At 12:45 p.m., Jose Garcia-Perez, 23, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony luring a child, felony statutory sexual seduction, open or gross lewdness, felony eluding, resisting a public officer and no valid driver’s license after deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop near Hot Springs and Roop. Garcia-Perez led deputies on a low speed chase before crashing into another vehicle. Bail was set at $45,350.

At 11:57 p.m., a 23-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies responded to reports of a welfare check near the 400 block of Lee. Bail was set at $3,000.
