Fallon Lions Club / Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt will be held Easter Sunday at Laura Mills Park. It starts promptly at 1 p.m., and there will be three age groups with additional prizes for each group.

The Easter Bunny will be available for photos.

The Fallon VFW and the Ladies Auxiliary are having an Easter egg hunt on the front lawn of the Churchill County Middle School on Saturday at 10 a.m., 690 S. Maine St. The age groups are 0-3, 4-6 and 7-12.

Lahontan State Recreation Area will host its Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. Each year, park employees and volunteers fill upward of 3,000 plastic eggs with candy and then scatter them around the day-use area of the park.

The hunt will be at Lahontan State Recreation Area’s Silver Springs Day Use Area, 1972 Fir Avenue, Silver Spring. From Highway 95A head east on Fir Ave. and turn left onto the entrance road to the park. For any additional driving directions please feel free to contact the park.

Children under the age of 12 are divided into four groups (3 and under, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12), and each group searches for eggs in their assigned collection area. Additionally, several prize baskets and larger toy items are raffled off immediately after the Easter Egg Hunt.

Entrance fees to the park are waived for all participants and there is no additional charge for the egg hunt.

Hop over to Mormon Station State Historic Park in Genoa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday for the inaugural Cotton Tails Easter celebration, which includes a pancake brunch by executive chef April Woodward.

The picnic-style brunch will be followed by an egg hunt for children of all ages, with baskets being awarded to raffle winners in each age group. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance, and farm fresh eggs will be for sale.

Mormon Station’s Easter celebration continues Sunday when park rangers will be cooking up an Easter ham in a Dutch oven cooking demonstration from 1 to 3 p.m. Samples will be served until supplies run out.

Washoe Lake State Park’s annual Easter egg hunt starts at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The Easter Bunny arrives at noon. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. To participate, meet at the group use area pavilion.

The all-ages program is free; but there’s a $7 park entrance fee. Nevada residents receive a $2 discount. For more information, call 775-687-4319, or email washoelake@hdiss.net.
