He’s not fit to be president

Donald Trump’s intemperate, vulgar, sexist comments and his discrimination against those who look differently, talk differently or worship differently than him, and his hesitance to condemn the KKK, should sink his candidacy. But not Trump’s. The more foul, sexist, racist, and mean he gets, the more his fans cheer him on.

He calls women ”fat pigs, bitches, dogs, slobs, bimbos and disgusting animals.” He said of former Republican presidential candidate, Carly Fiorina, “Look at that face — would anyone vote for that?” He also said, “By putting women in the military sexual assault is totally expected.” “A woman must be hot to be a journalist.” “Pumping breast milk is disgusting.” He said of Hillary Clinton; “Hillary Clinton would be a bad president because of her husband’s actions.” “If Hillary Clinton can’t satisfy her husband, what makes her think she can satisfy America?”

“You know it doesn’t really matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of a--,” said Trump. He said more, but this next quote sums them all up. “Women ... you have to treat them like sh--.” He’ll continue to do so, if elected president. How any woman can vote for this avowed sexist is beyond my comprehension.

Republicans, face reality. He’s not fit to be president. He’s not fit to be dog-catcher, as he said of Marco Rubio. He’s an embarrassment. Even his accomplishments are overstated. He’s not a great businessman, he’s filed bankruptcy more times than he‘s been married. The N.Y. attorney general filed suit against Trump and the now defunct Trump University for $40 million for making false promises and scamming students. Trump Airlines failed, as did Trump Mortgages and other businesses. Now I understand several casinos may go belly-up. We might know what he’s really worth if he’d divulge his tax returns.

He brought in 200 Polish workers, with no papers, paid them one third the union rate, and made them work under terribly unsafe conditions, demolishing a building to make room for Trump Towers. He thinks American workers are overpaid! He doesn’t support any minimum wage, whatsoever! How can working stiffs support him? They say it’s because he’s not a part of the establishment. Bunk! He’s spent most of his life in the “establishment,” bribing politicians to give him tax breaks..

Some fans share his bigotry, hatred, sexism, anger, antisemitism, and I might add, stupidity. That’s a dangerous combination, especially when Trump advocates violence against protesters. At one time he said he would pay for the defense of any supporter who punched a protester. He has now recanted.

Other supporters, while acknowledging Trump is foul mouthed, a racist, sexist and a liar, say they will vote for him, in spite of his faults. These people have less moral character than those who share Trump’s sick values. Don’t you think Evangelicals who support him may be hell bound?

Several Trump supporters, outside one of his rallies, yelled at black people, “Go back to Africa.” One yelled at a Bernie Sander’s supporter, “Go back to Auschwitz.” Sanders is Jewish with relatives who died in Auschwitz. Sick! There are many white supremacist and Nazis at Trump’s gatherings.

If Trump’s elected, he’ll no doubt. have a wall built surrounding the White House to keep out Jews, the handicapped, homosexuals, blacks, bimbos, Mexicans, Muslims, feminists, female reporters, Seven Day Adventists, slobs, lesbians and Leprechauns?

Most likely Trump will enter the Republican Convention with a plurality but not a majority of delegates. Trump says regardless, his fans will “riot” should he not win the nomination. Rules governing the situation where no one wins on the first ballot have been adopted at every convention. Trump’s supporters seem ignorant of rules or history.

New rules are adopted at every convention. In 2012, rules were approved regarding candidates qualifications which allowed only Mitt Romney’s name to be placed in nomination, shutting out Ron Paul. The 2016 rules will most likely allow anyone to be nominated and receive votes. As in the past, after the first ballot, delegates will vote for whomever they wish until someone garners a majority.

Ronald Reagan attempted to beat Gerald Ford this way in 1976.The first time this happened at a Republican Convention, the man who was originally in second place won the nomination on the third ballot. That man was Abraham Lincoln. Ronald Reagan was in good company.

It’ll take a dramatic move to heal this country’s wounds and make us whole again. Although highly unlikely, one such dramatic, albeit a controversial suggestion, would be a Clinton/Kasich ticket, which I thought of before Chris Matthews’ suggestion.
