Brady Jack stands ready to throw in the fifth-grade boys shotput event while several members of the Wave boys track and field team supervise the event.
The Churchill County High School 12th annual Track and Field Day hosted groups third, fourth and fifth grade boys and girls from E.C. Best Elementary School.
Supervised by CCHS coach Steve Heck along with several volunteers from the Greenwave boys and girls track and field teams, elementary students competed from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in several events such as dashes, the high jump, long jump, discus throw, shot put and a final relay race alongside the high school athletes.
Ribbons for first, second and third place were handed out for each event after the meet.
