Marion Ann Hanna passed away at home with her family present on March 29, 2016 from end stage COPD. (she never smoked) She was born in Los Angeles, California on August 26, 1925 to Charles F. and Ruth Brice Hallemann. She attended schools in the LA area & graduated from Fairfax High School in 1943. She met & married the sailor who wore cowboy boots with his uniform, Robert Keith Hanna, on January 14, 1945. Robert predeceased her on October 18, 2003 after a wonderful 48 year marriage. Marion worked from a young age at the Farmer’s Market in LA, a walkie-talkie factory during WWII and spent 30 years in the retail gift business in LA. In 1988 Marion & Keith moved to Carson City to be close to their daughters, Judy Ann Hanna & Barbara Jean Larson. She loved landscaping & gardening, reading, spending quality family time with her 2 daughters, 6 grandchildren & 7 great grandkids and the nickel machines @ The Nugget.
Marion was predeceased by her parents, her husband, sister, brother & many sisters & brothers in law. She is survived by daughters, Judy Ann Hanna & Barbara Jean Larson; grandchildren Michael, Maggie & Mitchell Baesman & Shaun, Cory & Eric Larson & great grandchildren Jalyssa & Dante Williams, Isabel Baesman & Brooklyn, Braydon, Brandi & Brycen Larson. Please make donations to the charity of your choice in Marion’s name. No services will be held, but a special Mass will be said for her @ St. Teresa’s Catholic Church. Burial, next to her husband, will be private at Lone Mountain Cemetery. Special thanks to St. Mary’s Hospice, Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center & Dr. C Brian Sonderegger.
