Shots fired in Fernley under investigation

Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of shots fired in the 1000 block of Brierwood Lane in Fernley.

The call came in at 12:27 a.m. and stems from a neighborhood dispute that resulted in several shots fired. No one was injured, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

“This remains an active investigation and deputies are aggressively running down leads. We believe this to be an isolated incident — a dispute between two parties — and doesn’t present a threat to our community,” Sheriff Al McNeil said.
