Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of domestic battery with strangulation

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

MONDAY

At 3:02 p.m., a 55-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving, no valid driver’s license, no insurance and a failure to appear traffic warrant after deputies responded to a traffic complaint near the 2500 block of Kit Sierra Way. At the same incident, a 51-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence. Bail for the 55-year-old was set at $1,900 and bail for the 51-year-old was set at $1,000.

At 5:34 p.m., a 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and violation of pretrial supervision after deputies responded to reports of a domestic dispute near the 600 block of Hot Springs Road. At the same incident, a 55-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery. Bail for the 21-year-old was set at $5,500 and bail for the 55-year-old was set at $3,000.

At 6:12 p.m., Francisco Gaona, 25, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery with strangulation after Gaona called the police to report that he had grabbed his wife by the throat near the 200 block of Sarah Drive. Bail was set at $15,000.

At 10:04 p.m., a 55-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence warrant after deputies responded to reports of a domestic disturbance near the 3200 block of Imperial Way. Bail was set at $1,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
