The Carson Street JCPenney department store was burglarized Tuesday morning.
Officials said the burglary happened early Tuesday morning, where the suspect(s) smashed in one of the front door windows and entered into the establishment. They took an undetermined amount of items before exiting the store. Authorities weren’t notified of the incident until about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Carson City deputies are investigating the incident, canvasing the area and collecting video surveillance from nearby buildings.
Other JCPenney establishments in Nevada and California have had similar experiences, and investigators are not sure yet if they are all connected.
