Virginia City’s annual Parade of Heroes to return May 28

Virginia City’s annual Celebration of Heroes Parade to honor veterans is taking place at noon Saturday, May 28 on C Street, the town’s main thoroughfare.

Parade entries include veteran’s groups, classic car clubs, equestrian groups, marching units and more. Parade entries are accepted until Friday, May 27. Download the parade form at VisitVirginiaCityNV.com or call 775-847-7501.

A benefit concert for Piper’s Opera House is planned at 7 p.m. May 28, when Beatles Flashback, a Beatles tribute band, will perform with Virginia City middle and high school choral groups. Tickets for $25 are at www.beatlesflashbackpipers.eventbrite.com.
