Karl D’Aaron Small

Karl D’Aaron Small, son of Frank Aaron Small & Marie Estelle Harris, passed away on April 18, 2016 at the age of 82 after battling cancer. Karl grew up around the east side of the San Francisco bay area, served in the US Army, loved camping, fishing, shooting, and riding his motorcycle and enjoyed his 2 horses, donkey, & dogs. He felt really at home in Virginia City, Nevada where he resided since retirement. He was a member of the Federation of Eagles Comstock Aerie 523, and the Julia Bulette chapter of E. Clampus Vitus for which he became the Humbug then a Graybeard. His wife, family, and friends will truly miss him. He is survived by his wife Connie of 23 years, 2 brothers, sister, 2 sons, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial celebration will be held at the Clamper building on B Street in Virginia City Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited. Bring your favorite food, potluck.
