The Annual Spring Concerts of The Academy of Dance Arts will be presented in the Montbleu Theatre located in the Montbleu Resort & Casino on Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21 at 6:00 pm. Doors open at 5:00 pm. “This year the Ballet is entitled

THE ADVENTURES OF MADELINE,” explains Kelly O’Fallon, owner and director of The Academy of Dance Arts. “Based on the children’s books by Ludwig Bemelman, about the twelve little girls in two straight lines; I created and built a new Ballet around that original concept,” O’Fallon goes on to explain. “Madeline hits the streets of Paris and encounters many interesting characters; such as jesters, artists, florists, waitresses, and pastry chefs just to name a few. It has been a true joy watching the dancers rise to the challenge and master the difficult choreography,” continues O’Fallon. After a brief intermission, the show will continue with the jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and tap portion of the show entitled DANCIN’ THROUGH THE DECADES. “The music spans from the 1950’s through today. You will find yourself singing along and tapping your toes to many recognizable hits such as the classic from Frank Sinatra, Summer Wind, the ever popular Supremes hit Baby Love, and the unforgettable I Will Survive made famous by Gloria Gaynor. There are beautiful ballads from the 80’s and 90’s, leading into popular pop hits of today. There is a little something for everyone!” O’Fallon finishes with a smile. There is such an abundance of talent in the studio and for two nights in May, all that talent is displayed beautifully by each and every student, teacher and choreographer affiliated with

The Academy of Dance Arts,” O’Fallon responds proudly. “We hope you will come and join us for a fun, upbeat and entertaining evening of dance!” For information regarding tickets, please go to www.ticketmaster.com , call 1-800-745-3000, or call Montbleu 1-775-588-3515.
