It was one of the most exciting seasons for the Greenwave varsity swim team while it lasted.
The Wave boys and girls swimmers returned from one of the teams’ best presences at the state title meet at the UNLV after competing on Saturday. Sadly, no medals were won on behalf of Fallon’s swimmers.
Fallon’s girls swimming team took 10th, while the boys team placed 14th in the Division I-A meet at the UNLV Natatorium.
Among the girls individual swimmers, Katalina Martinez took eight in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 28.07 while Amber Revels also won eighth in the 100-yard fly (1:18.95). Kaelehn Nemeth also finished eighth in the 100-yard backstroke (1:13.70).
Among the girls relay events the team of Nemeth, senior Addyson Harmon, Martinez and Revels took eighth in the 200-yard medley relay (2:19.27) while the team of Sierra Bivens, Revels, Nemeth and Martinez also took eighth in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:57.60).
The foursome of Harmon, Bailey Diede, Madison Tiede abd Bivens took seventh in the 400-yard freestyle relay for a change of pace (5:15:85).
For the boys Isaac Kelsey won seventh in the 50-yard freestyle clocking in at 26.06 and Charlie Brown took eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:17.83).
The boys foursome of Brown, Kelsey, Kendall Rogers and Nathan Narag took eighth in the 200-yard free relay (1:49.29).
