Carson Tahoe Health would like to recognize the Rotary Club of Carson City Sunset for generously donating three 2,000-pound concrete benches, located around the main entrance at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
These spacious benches offer additional outdoor seating options for patients, visitors, and the community to enjoy.
The benches were donated in honor of Dr. Rex Baggett, charter member and past club president; Al Escalante, charter and founding member and past club president; and Toni Langson, past club president.
In addition to honoring their compassionate legacies, the benches provide an opportunity for people in our community, including those with limited mobility, to relax while looking at beautiful views of the Sierra Nevada foothills.
“As a community-focused healthcare system, Carson Tahoe Health is grateful for the caring group of Carson City Rotary members for donating the benches, and for their invaluable support over the years,” said Michelle Joy, Chief Operating Officer at Carson Tahoe Health. “The benches are surrounded by breathtaking scenery, which reflects our commitment to embracing a tranquil, nature-inspired healing environment. They’re a wonderful addition to the Regional Medical Center and will be enjoyed by many generations to come.”
Two of the industrial-grade benches were installed near the front entrance of Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, and the third is located behind the flagpoles, which were also donated by the Rotary Club of Carson City Sunset.
Carson Tahoe Health welcomes the community to come see the new benches.
