The 10th annual Rotary Club Golf Tournament welcomes all team and individual golfers on June 4 to raise funds for the Fallon Rotary Club’s projects as well as the 2016 Relay for Life program.
Shotgun begins at 8 a.m. following a free breakfast after which golfers will play 18-holes and then be treated to a lunch according to Karla Kent, a member of the Fallon Rotary Club and chair of the tournament.
“It’s one of our signature events and it’s one of our top fund-raising events,” Kent said. “We earmark the funds we raise but it also goes into the Rotary Club for local projects here which is our main use in addition to Relay for Life.
The 2015 tournament raised $4800 after expense and is sponsored dually by the rotary club and the Relay for Life program for which Kent said the event is looking for as much support as possible.
“We still have spots for golfing teams,” Kent said, “but people can sign up as individuals too and we’ll put them on teams and welcome them to come and play.”
