Report of fight leads to arrest of man wanted on suspicion of felony robbery charges, Carson City Sheriff’s Office says

THURSDAY

At 4:25 p.m., a 25-year-old Reno man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer, possession of marijuana and contempt of court after deputies initiated a pedestrian stop near Hot Springs Road and Carson Street. Bail was set at $1,400.

FRIDAY

At 3:12 a.m., a 35-year-old Lehi, Utah, man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, child neglect and speeding after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Saliman Road and Jodi Lane. Bail was set at $3,650.

At 11:14 p.m., Heather Walter, 23, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear and felony parole and probation hold after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 50 and Airport Road. Bail was set at $500.

SATURDAY

At 12:49 p.m., a 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of a welfare check near Airport Road and Modoc Court. Bail was set at $324.

At 1:19 p.m., a 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies initiated a pedestrian stop near Saliman Road and Como Street. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 8:25 p.m., Neil McLaren, 48, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony child abuse and domestic battery after deputies responded to reports of a man hitting a child at the Highway 50 Gold Dust West the day prior. McLaren was arrested at the Sheriff’s Office. Bail was set at $43,000.

SUNDAY

At 1:33 a.m., a 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense, speeding, no proof of insurance and turn signal required after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 1400 block of College Parkway. Bail was set at $3,175.

At 8:52 a.m., a 49-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested on suspicion of cell phone violation, registration suspended, driver’s license suspended and failure to appear warrant after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 600 block of Fairview Drive. Bail was set at $1,922.

At 3:29 p.m., a 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a restraining order, obstruction and violation of bail conditions after deputies responded to reports of a protection order violation near the 3700 block of Carson Street. Bail was set at $8,300.

At 7:56 p.m., James Alsbury, 32, of Lake Tahoe, was arrested on suspicion of felony robbery, felony possession of a controlled substance and battery after deputies responded to reports of two men fighting at the Market Street Walmart. Bail was set at $43,500.

At 10:06 p.m., a 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear traffic after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Winnie Lane and Lone Mountain Street. Bail was set at $215.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
