Political signs are more trouble than they’re worth
Carson City has guidelines requiring removal of political signs along local roads within 30 days after an election.
Now, NDOT is saying they must be removed by Dec. 8. These signs distract drivers, block the view of motorists, and are an eyesore. Why can’t they be removed the next day, after the election, or, at most, a week after the election?
More importantly, I don’t think they should be allowed to be posted at all. They clutter up our beautiful town. And anyone who uses a political sign as a reason to vote for a candidate is an idiot.
They should instead be searching literature to make an informed decision. Candidates could donate this political sign money to a worthwhile charity.
