Free holiday events geared for families are being held throughout the month at Genoa Candy & Coffee, located at the Carson Lanes center at 4600 Snyder Ave.
Cookie decorating is planned weekends until Christmas for children 10 and younger. Come decorate cookies with icing and sprinkles for free from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.
Gifts, handmade items and more will be on hand at a Christmas Craft Fair from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 2-3 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 4.
Ring in Christmas cheer with choirs from local schools at a caroling event from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. A community sing-along is planned from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11.
Frappe Night, offering an assortment of frappuccinos for $5 per person, is being held 5-7 p.m. Fridays through Jan. 1. The event also offers half off other drinks.
Test your skills at checkers, chess, gin rummy and other games from 5 to 7 p.m. Fridays. The weekly Game Nights offer the chance to win a gift card that can be used at all venues inside Carson Lanes.
Children of all ages can listen to Christmas stories at 11 a.m. Dec. 17, 18 and 24.
And finally, a clean and sober New Year’s Eve bash is planned on Dec. 31. Drinks and treats will be available all day, and there will be games, a record player and antique piano.
