Jan. 2, 1946 – Sept. 2, 2016

Born in Estherville, Iowa, Jean, the blond hair, blue eyed Norwegian passed away at her home with loved ones near her.

Jean was raised in So. California, graduate of Mark Keppel High School, and spent most of her working years as an Office Manager for four large construction companies. She had a short stent with the State of Nevada, as well as clerical work at the Carson City Horseshoe Club.

Jean loved watching her sons play football and basketball at San Marcos High School in San Marcos, California. Both Jeff and Eric were all league standouts. For years she was a good bowler. One of her favorite pastimes was trout fishing with husband John, in scenic Bishop, CA. and the Round Valley area of various locals in Douglas County. She loved the majestic Sierra Nevada’s.

Jeans magnetic personality, kindness to others, sparkling eyes and smile, were just as beautiful as her outward appearance. She took the ups and downs in life admirably, making the bad times tolerable and the good times unbelievable. She loved her family. As her husband of 36 years, she silently taught me to accept things as they are and deal with them.

She was preceded in death by her father Ralph Rasmussen and mother Erma Rasmussen, and brothers, LeRoy Rasmussen and Robert Rasmussen and sister Donna Davis.

She is survived by John, her husband, sons Jeff Brio and Eric Brio (Lori) sister Linda Rae Cumming, grandchildren Cody Gage, Taylor Ann Mayberry, Jarod and Sean Brio.

That though the radiance which was once so bright be now forever taken from my sight, though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower, we shall grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind.

A truly beautiful human being, we will miss her and always have her in our hearts. Until we see you again.
