The Churchill County School District Board of Trustees will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Old High School auditorium.
Update, discussion and possible action items include the following:
Numa Elementary Principal Shawn Purrell and school counselor Noreen Swenson will present Numa’s work on student achievement and positive student behavior support.
Phyllys Dowd, district director of Business Services, will report about the new food service provider, Chartwells.
Dr. Sandra Sheldon, superintendent of schools, will lead a discussion about how the information gathered in Infinite Campus — the newly implemented student data collection system — is analyzed and used for decision-making, as well as whether there’s adequate protection in place to keep the data secure and prevent misuse.
Planned board events include the Nevada Association of School Boards Annual Conference in Reno, Nov. 18-19, and the National School Board Association’s 77th Annual Conference in Denver, March 25-27.
